Editor - User Experience Magazine

¤ Organization: Usability Professionals’ Association
¤ Location: Illinois
¤ Position: Magazine Editor

I was an editor for UPA’s magazine User Experience from October 2001 to August 2004. I saw the magazine through 7 issues during that time.

Primarily I was responsible for the upfront section, “What’s News,” but also edited the book review section as well as other articles.

This was a volunteer position and I stepped down to allow new volunteers to offer their services as well as to focus on my newly formed business Business Logs.

Matthew provides a fresh perspective to our magazine, and has helped us deliver an innovative and engaging publication.

I admire his knowledge of the domain, his experience with writing and editing, and his desire to make a difference. It’s a pleasure to work with him, and he works well with the large and diverse group that we have.

If I ever have an opportunity to hire him, I’ll certainly try!
