Problem Solver

The other day, Sagan and I were watching Mulan. There’s a scene toward the beginning where Mulan and her soon-to-be comrades are told to retrieve an arrow at the top of a tall pole. Which is simple enough, but they are made to wear a heavy weight around each arm.

The main male character tells them that one weight represents Strength, the other Discipline.

I looked at Sagan and said (thinking we could talk about using your wits and knowledge to overcome an obsticle.), “You know Sagan, it takes more than strength and discipline to do something like that.”

She said, “Yeah, a ladder.”
