Adaptive Path Comes Clean

We were hosted at Adaptive Path’s office yesterday by Jeff Veen and Lane Becker. They gave us a demo of their new project which Mike called out recently.

They told us not to say anything about it, which we will honour with the exception of the following tidbit: This app will blow away all poser apps. It will do everything for everyone. This is Web 3.0 (beta) people. Get ready for a kick ass app that will totally make your life better.

Updated: I forgot to add that when we were speaking with Jeff and Lane they kept saying this odd word which we realised was AJAX, but they pronounce it “ay-yax.” Just so you know and can start talking about it properly.

Aw for frig’s sakes. I’m such an application junkie. Does anyone else’s blood pressure go up when they see stuff like this? And I mean in a good way… like a “I can’t wait to see the new star wars” way? When I start seeing references to this in my stats I’m going to be even worse. I call it webapp beta envy. It’s a condition. I’m starting a support group. Anyone want to join?

Thanks, Matthew, for the mini-fix. ;-) Keep ‘em coming!

Aww, now I didn’t see THOSE pictures. Damn, I didn’t think Veen was so tall. o_O; As for AP’s Ay-yax program, you guys have heard my view on it already. :)

That’s pretty awesome. For some reason, it reminds me of when a gold-digging reporter uncovers that two celebrities got married, or something. I hope you got an autographed box of AJAX while you were there. :)

That pronunciation of Ajax says that someone there is either a Euro-snob or a fan of the Ajax soccer team.
