Back in April of 2004, when Apple stock was hovering between 12$ and 14$ a share (roughly), I made a suggestion to a friend of mine who does stock trading in his limited spare time.
“Dude, buy 100 shares of Apple.” Very professional, I know. And that high level of professionalism is probably why he didn’t buy.
Today I got an email from him: “Your 100 shares at 14 would now be 200 shares at 55.”
Earlier this year, Apple’s stock did a 2:1 split; 55 was the closing price yesterday. As of this sentence Apple’s stock is at 56.
Dude, seriously. Listen to me the next time I tell you to buy a stock.
