		<description>Two things would go a long way to balancing things.

1) Companies (all of us) need to do a better job of understanding just what it is we need to be successful.

2) Reward employees based on results not activities.  I don't mean a great P/E for the company's stock, I mean results of the individual employee that are tied to the company's goals.  

3) A company that understands success is more than profit.

		<description>I was talking to a self-employed friend about my job and had to explain "banked time".  She was amazed that we had to work an average of 40 hours a week.  "Why can't you just work as much as you need to get your job done?" she asked.  It is a pretty juvenile approach to things when you think about it, but it leads to this unbalance most of us experience.</description>
