Kiki’s Delivery Service

Many of the movies out of Studio Ghibli over the past 20 years have starred young girls thrust into new worlds or lives that force them to grow up faster than normal, usually resulting in a strong, independent young woman. Kiki may only be 13 during this story, but she becomes a very self-reliant young woman in the end. This is one of those movies I don't mind watching over and over. Actually it's my daughter that watched it over and over. Most of the time I will watch it with her though. I still get goose-bumps when Kiki finds here ability to fly again toward the end. Good storytelling will do that to you.
