Order amoxicillin without prescription, I decided rather abruptly to leave off any sites which were “social” in nature for a week to see how I got along. I did this last Tuesday. Why that day. Because all good things start on Tuesdays.

I reorg'd my bookmarks and put all of my regular hangouts into a folder named NO and that was that. I'm not swearing off email or IM, order amoxicillin without prescription. Even though you could make an argument that they are social media outlets, φτηνές φαρμακείο amoxicillin, for my purposes I don't view them that way.

Below you'll find my diary, journal, blog post if you will of my week without: SOCIAL MEDIA!!!.

Day One — Tuesday

Technically just a half day, Minnesota MN Minn. . Order amoxicillin without prescription, I didn't look back at any site once I made the decision to take the week off.

Day Two — Wednesday

It's odd. I haven't been to Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, and all those other sites I frequent minutely for about 12 hours now. Kentucky KY Ky. , I don't really miss them much at all. That's the odd part.

I also installed Rescue Time today, order amoxicillin without prescription. Not surprisingly the activities tagged work are most of what I've done so far. I did get a lot of work done today. More than usual. Perhaps a little, but that could be because I am paying attention today to what I am doing and when, amoxicillin prices. Order amoxicillin without prescription, When I got home, I really wanted to go on Y!Live to chat... but I resisted. Let hope tomorrow gets even easier.

Day Three — Thursday

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!

I've had a bunch of questions today that I'd normally just ask on Twitter, but I can't. FUCK. I actually had to use Google a couple of times, order amoxicillin without prescription. Wisconsin WI Wis. , Srsly!. Luckily Google still works pretty well and I could find the answers, but damn it was difficult to even force myself to do the work. I am SO out of practice.

I broke down a bit today and loaded up some muxtapes. Order amoxicillin without prescription, Okay, maybe that isn't a total breakdown. Once I loaded it I could easily go back to my work and just have the music in the background. But I felt a bit like I was cheating, buy amoxicillin online. And, to be honest, I did upload a picture to Flickr. And I did go to Flickr to see how the picture looked. But I didn't look at anything else, order amoxicillin without prescription. Difficult, Oklahoma OK Okla. , but I was proud of myself.

Day Four — Friday

Today was a bit easier as I got to experience some "social media" without the media. Well, some media, but since I don't have a DS it wasn't a big deal.

I hung out in the afternoon and evening with Patrick Haney, Jenna Marino, billig kaufen amoxicillin, Dan Rubin, Shaun Inman, Ryan Sims, and for a short time Leslie Jensen-Inman (she had to go to a conference though and couldn't hang out with us cool peeps). Order amoxicillin without prescription, Granted, I did upload some pictures of our night out, but I swear didn't tag any of them at the time.

Day Five — Saturday

On the one hand, Iowa IA , weekends make it easier to avoid anything computer-related. On the other hand, consuming all things computer-related helps me avoid my family. Granted, I get 40+ hours a week to avoid them (why else does one work but to avoid one's family), but frankly it often isn't enough.

Regardless, order amoxicillin online legally, or if you are me and want to annoy Claire... irregardless, I was able to avoid the computer and spend time with the fam damily, only hyperventilating once, order amoxicillin without prescription. It also helped that we went to buy a new car. Shiny, drivey things are good to soothe the SMS.

Day Six — Sunday

Laundry. Køb billige amoxicillin, Cleaning. Order amoxicillin without prescription, More avoiding. Ahhh, the life. I checked out a couple of pictures on Flickr, but didn't feel at all anxious about it. I was able to walk away from the computer after only two minutes of listening to my daughter yell at me that the bathroom was on fire.

Day Seven — Monday

Last day, billige amoxicillin apotek. I did go out of bounds a bit by responding to a DM from Whitney Hess as to my whereabouts, order amoxicillin without prescription. But I just sent my update from last week explaining I was taking time off. An update she should have seen in the first place. Honestly, you'd think CMU would be churning out a brighter crowd. Cheap amoxicillin online, I also uploaded a screencast to Viddler. I couldn't help myself. Order amoxicillin without prescription, I went to Shaun Inman's site and immediately hurled. No, it doesn't look bad. It's just all the movement at the top of the page, and frankly I'd been drinking. Drinking, amazingly, Nevada NV Nev. , also chases away the SMS.

What Did I Learn?

Biggest takeaway is I need to get some friends that live near me. Relying on the residuals of friendship I get from SXSW that are paid virtually via social sites isn't enough, order amoxicillin without prescription. Last Friday was so much fun. Must repeat as necessary.

I also learned that I am just a wee bit addicted to the computer. Montana MT Mont. , That is probably true about most box-shaped electronic devices. Order amoxicillin without prescription, That too must change.

I am not going to go cold turkey on everything just to kick a habit. I am not that addicted. What I need to do is scale back what I get involved in and ask myself, with every interaction, is this creating something positive. For me. For others, order amoxicillin without prescription. If I am not creating something positive I am just wasting my time and in some ways, yours.

I don't expect to be creating positive things 100% of the time, but I suspect if I begin to ask myself that question I'll re-adjust my approach to things and the percentage will increase from where it is today.

In the future, I'll be much more selective about the betas I get involved with. If you'd like to invite me, please do so, but with the idea that I'll be assessing your app/site for ways to make it better. Not just securing "matto" as MY username everywhere.

WTF Did You Get All, Like, Serious, Yo?

Because all good things come to an end, and all good things end on Mondays.

I was updating my LinkedIn profile a few minutes ago while also feeling a little contact-envy toward James "I'm a nice guy and I have Friends" Archer. I started to peruse his contact list for people I already know and noticed Lea Alcantara on his list.

Lea is on my IM list and happened to be logged in, so I asked her if she wanted to connect. She said sure and sent me a request via LinkedIn. It was the standard request which puts in text for the requester. This was fine by me since I was expecting it. And expecting it here is key.

She IMd "sent you an invite!" except there was nothing in my in box. Nothing even after 5 minutes. Which is odd for email. So I thought I would check my junk folder, just in case. And there it was with the subject line of: Interesting Business Tool.

Now if I was a junk filter and noticed a subject line like that, from an email address I've never received email from before, I would put it in the junk folder too.

So, Konstantin Guericke (Konstantin is leading the efforts to spread the word about LinkedIn and to educate users about how to advance their career and business through their trusted contacts on LinkedIn.), I have a request, please...

It would be nice to receive an email with the subject: LinkedIn: A Request to Connect from [name]. Something like that. It will stand out and also cause me to pay more attention. It makes me wonder if I have missed other contact requests I have missed.

I've been on LinkedIn for a couple of years now. While overall I think it is cool to keep a professional network in place, and LinkedIn helps with that, I've never really used it. Have you? I would use it if I was actively looking for a job (instead of just wishing for a fun new job like I am now), but what else would I use it for?

[Updated]

After Jay's comment on this post, I decided to do what he did...

Went to the home page:

Clicked on Add Connections and found myself here:

The default Subject line was "Interesting Business Tool."

I wondered what other connection types there were in the initial drop-down and below are 2 screen shots of how the text areas changed based on the type of connection you are trying to make.

Not sure if I need this much help composing an email.

fyi'd by Jeff Clavier on the CEO Bloggers' Club.

Suprax 400, My dad used to say to me: Son, it's who you know.

Now that I am old enough to both know better and know my parents were right about a lot of things I say: Me, it is who you know, but more importantly it's who knows you and that they know what you want.

If you haven't been to LinkedIn for a while, or if you've never been you might want to check this out. Suprax 400, While it is not a new way, conceptually, suprax medicine, Suprax lupin, to search for a new job, it is a new criteria available for searching.

In the following case, suprax generic, Suprax tablets, it looks like Technorati is hiring based on the search I did for “blog”. Course, suprax lupin, Suprax dosing, I don't have much of a chance for this position because I am 4 degrees removed from the poster.

In the example below, based on the search term “wiki” there was only one job currently open, cefixime suprax, Suprax for sale, and I am 2 degrees away from the person who posted the position. Much better chance!

Now as I look for a new dayjob (hint, buy no prescription suprax, Buy suprax, hint) I can consider something that was always at the back of my mind: do I know anyone that works there. And because of the structure of LinkedIn, suprax coupon, Suprax cost, I don't actually have to know the person. If the person who posted the job is on LinkedIn, they are expecting to be contacted by someone they never heard of, suprax 400. But that person will most likely be known by someone in their network.

I can search by company name like, suprax 400, Suprax glass, oh I don't know... IDEO (drool factor 9) to see if they have an open position and if I know or are even closely related to someone at the company. No open positions posted to LinkedIn, but they are hiring and I do know someone who works there (Hi Annie!) and consider that to increase my chances of getting noticed.

One thing I do not like about the UI is that I can sort my results based on Date Posted, Location, Company, and Job Title, but I cannot sort based on Degrees Removed. Which is odd since you can do that when searching LinkedIn for people you know. Which is also odd since that seems to be the whole point of using LinkedIn to post and search for jobs. And you also cannot re-sort on the results page. I hate that.

Posting open positions is free right now so if you have an opening, you might get some good results by using LinkedIn. And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

I wondered what other connection types there were in the initial drop-down and below are 2 screen shots of how the text areas changed based on the type of connection you are trying to make.

fyi'd by Jeff Clavier on the CEO Bloggers' Club.

And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

I can reach our to people in Saginaw, MI! Bloomington, IN! Nigeria!

Nigeria?

I wonder how my network extends to Nigeria... Let's find out.

198 people from Nigeria using LinkedIn. Now the big question is: how can I use LinkedIn to get me an all expenses paid trip to Nigeria?

Anyone who comes up with a plan that will work will get a free all expenses paid trip to Nigeria using the same plan.

fyi'd by Jeff Clavier on the CEO Bloggers' Club.

And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

Now as I look for a new dayjob (hint, buy no prescription suprax, Buy suprax, hint) I can consider something that was always at the back of my mind: do I know anyone that works there. If the person who posted the job is on LinkedIn, they are expecting to be contacted by someone they never heard of, suprax 400. But that person will most likely be known by someone in their network.

I can search by company name like, suprax 400, Suprax glass, oh I don't know...

And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

This was back when I was completely addicted to MUSHing, which I started on PernMUSH. What a crazy thing that was.

I wondered what other connection types there were in the initial drop-down and below are 2 screen shots of how the text areas changed based on the type of connection you are trying to make.

fyi'd by Jeff Clavier on the CEO Bloggers' Club.

And if you are looking for a job, well get searchin'.
.

I was talking with Steve Fadden recently. I remarked to him that blogs (especially community blogs, which I wish I could make this one open for everyone to post) are a bit like MUSHing, MUDing and the like. Confined (usually) to a topic. A sense of belonging. Text-driven (I realize there are photo blogs out there).

So I got to thinking about my MUSHing days (10 years ago!) on PernMUSH, Belior Rising, the toocool, yet doomed Desert Wings MUSH (hey it was 1996!). I still have some TinyMUSH code on my computer. Don't have my random poetry generator though. Tres sad.

Anyway. No point really. I am just starting to get reaquainted with the Internet on a social level. And surprise, surprise... everything is different, yet the same. So welcome to the world of multi-user shared hallucinations! Or what Oscar Wilde might have termed, Bunburying. Cause while this is me typing, the online me is a little bit different than the RL me. @set me=@whee!
